This viral salmon rice bowl looks so divine. It was unearthed by creator @emilymariko on Tik Tok.
There are different versions floating around but in short, you’ll need these ingredients:
- 3 oz. of cooked salmon
- White rice (around 1/2 cup to 1 cup)
- Sriracha sauce (to taste)
- Japanese mayo (to taste)
- Soy sauce (to taste)
- Nori sheets (seaweed)
You shred the cooked salmon with your fork and plop your rice atop. Then, add your sauces. Emily drizzles each one atop and then mixes it all together. The end product is a well-mixed saucy salmon rice. Then, the best part. Take your seaweed nori sheet and scoop up the salmon rice to enjoy in one filling bite (with chopsticks like Emily).

To make this vegan, opt for a vegan mayo and omit the salmon. This makes a big plate and looks super delicious. You’re getting your omega 3 fatty acids from the fish, a nice balance with the rice, tons of flavor with all the sauces and all the vitamins and nutrients packed in the nori, which many call a super food.
New versions are popping up all over Tik Tok as creators are becoming inventive, mixing in their favorites into the rice bowl. Even Emily does a version with sliced avocado and kimchi, which looks absolutely amazing.
Other creators are using avocado like Emily, black and white sesame seeds, chopped cucumber and more.
