Here’s what you’ll need to pursue these opportunities:
- Time
- Internet access
You’ll need time, of course. The amount of time will vary based on the opportunity you pursue. Starting a money-making venture usually costs you time, money or both. Be prepared for that. Next, you need access to a device with internet, like a computer or smartphone. These are all work-from-home opportunities so they’ll be online money makers. You need access to online to work them.
That’s it!
Ok, here are 9 cool ways to make $1,000/month working from home!
1. Start Taking Paid Online Surveys
I know, I know.
Surveys?
Surveys can help you make extra money.
People love them because you can take surveys when you want, from the convenience of your phone or computer and get paid!
They are easy to do and require no skills.
You are just getting paid to share your opinion. You can get paid via direct deposit, PayPal cash, gift cards, or through other ways, depending on the survey company.
The more survey companies you join, the more you can make.
But, this is not a way to get rich quit and YOU CAN’T make a full-time income from surveys.
It’s really impossible. So, I just wanna get that straight, right now. I wanna be completely transparent with you.
I’ve taken surveys personally.
Even now, I still participate in surveys from time to time. My bank recently sent me an opportunity to share my opinion about my online banking for a cool $80.
And, I got an email invitation to do another exclusive survey that I’ll have to read more about when I have some free time.
Anyway, here are 3 survey companies I recommend:
2. Open an Ecommerce Store
Starting an ecommerce store is a cool way for you to sell products you love to the general public.
I got my start 5+ years ago in ecommerce and it allowed me to leave my 9 to 5 and become a full-time entrepreneur.
It’s a really fun side hustle that you can do part-time and/or full-time.
How to get started?
- Pick a niche
- Source products
- Create your store
First, pick a store niche.
This will be your store category, like:
- Women’s apparel
- Fashion jewelry
- Home goods
Next, source your products.
In sourcing, your goal will be to find out where you’ll get wholesale products.
With this info, lastly, you’ll create your online storefront.
You can pick a store platform like Shopify to help you create a professional-looking, gorgeous store.
3. Social Media Influencer
Do you have a big social following? The truth is, you don’t need one to make money as a social media influencer. Micro-influencers are making more money than ever online!
Even at 2,000 followers, you can make money as a social media influencer.
You can monetize your following in various ways including through brand sponsorships, affiliate marketing, ads, and your own products.
Sponsorships/Brand Deals
In a brand deal, you and a brand come together and work together on social media.
Like, if you’re a fashion influencer, you could partner with a shoe company who pays you $500 to wear and model their shoe line on your Instagram page.
That’s just one example of how you can do a brand partnership. This works great for bloggers and businesses too.
Examples of ways you can partner:
- Hosting a giveaway
- Video demonstration
- Unboxing
- Plus, other ways!
Brand deals can get you a lot of money.
Top influencers make $100K+ for a single social media post. Smaller influencers make $10K+ per month working with brands exclusively as their bread and butter for their business.
How to find sponsors?
You can join sponsor networks like these:
Affiliate Marketing
Grab my free ebook to learn how to start an affiliate marketing business. As an affiliate marketer, you can share products with your social following and you’ll earn a commission every time your referral results in a sale.
For example, if you’re a beauty influencer, you could share one of your favorite lipsticks (that you affiliate for) on your Instagram account and for every sale that happens, you earn a commission at no additional cost to the buyer.
That’s exactly how affiliate marketing works.
Join affiliate networks: Shareasale, Maxbounty, or Panthera Interactive.
Once you join you’ll have access to affiliate programs for various merchants and then you can promote on your social channels, as allowed by the company.
Ads
Make money from ads through companies like YouTube.
Through ads you can make money based on your viewd or ad clicks.
It is possible to make a full-time income from ad revenue alone.
There is endless income opportunity through this channel.
Products/Services
Sell your own products and services online like coffee mugs, printables, digital planners and more.
4. Pinterest Manager
What the heck is a Pinterest manager?
Pinterest is big business for companies.
It’s a free visual search engine that helps companies get found online.
I’ve seen blogs totally transform through Pinterest, reaching millions of page views and making tens of thousands of dollars per month from the social network, alone.
What do you do as a Pinterest manager?
Get paid to play on social media for companies.
If you love social media then this is for you.
To get to $1,000/month or more, you only need 1-2 clients, depending on your pricing:
1 client X $1,000/month rate = $1,000/month
2 clients X $500/month rate = $1,000/month
For me, it started with my ecommerce biz. I was Instagram-crazy and learn how to use social media to my benefit. So, I’ve been a Pinterest manager, Instagram manager, general social media manager for other companies.
Skills needed?
You do not need specialized education, background or experience but you should know social media.
You can get free or paid training online to strengthen your skillset.
Try Skillshare.
You pay around $12/month and get access to their ENTIRE library of online courses for a low monthly fee.
With no contract too, so you can cancel after a month or a few months if you want too.
For you course junkies out there like me, this is golden!
What will you do as a Pinterest manager?
Some activities you’ll likely do might include:
- Creating Pinterest graphics
- Pinterest keyword research
- Writing keyword-rich pin captions
- Interacting and engaging with consumers
- Measuring analytics
- And, more!
This is the perfect kinda job to work from home.
5. Copywriting
Writing was how I started my path to entrepreneurship. I tried many different career paths as a small business owner and luckily, my ecommerce store did well and allowed me to leave my 9 to 5.
Before that though, I did copywriting.
Copywriting the wrong way, little did I know.
Writing for content mills and small publications gave me a lot of experience but earning $10 to $25 per article is really pocket change.
I was happy to get whatever I could, back then.
Today, I still copywrite, earning $.10/word on most projects.
That means earning $1,000/month is 10 articles at 1,000 words/each which is so easy.
The more you write, the more you write.
When I started, it was tough to make it to 1,000 words.
Now, I commonly write 3K to 8K articles with ease.

I am not very tech savvy myself and I did this for a few years using templates and WordPress.
There’s also Wix, Squarespace and other friendly tools that kind of DIY websites.
And you can get paid for this.
It’s not unusual for designers to make $5K to $10K per project.
