If you’re looking for places that hire at 15, whether you’re a parent looking for your child or you’re the teen looking for work, you’ll want to keep reading to learn about these 7 places.

When I was 15 I landed my first job. It was at a local pizza chain in my city.

In my area you couldn’t start working until age 16 so I had to wait about a week from the time I was hired until my 16th birthday past to start working.  It was really awesome to have my own money.

I had an allowance before and my income from work was about 20X that!

Not a lot of money at all. I was working minimum wage but it was definitely enough to go shopping at the mall, go to movie with friends, go to the carnival and buy popcorn and play games and more. I was more than happy with that!

It’s a wonderful feeling to work for yourself and earn your own money.

You can start to feel independence financially and start to learn the importance of managing your money, saving, spending, and all this starts at a young age, as a teen. It gives you some great building blocks and a good understanding of finances from the start.

If you’re 15 and looking for a job then you’re high school age.

Think about if you’ll have stable transportation to your job, what hours you can work, how it will impact your school and personal life, and then pick a job and apply!

How to find places that hire at 15?

It’s all in a Google search, to be honest, though it can take a long time to find what you’re looking for. And, you may need to call around to ask hiring managers about the age they staff.

Is it legal to work at 15 years old?

According to the Fair Labor Standards Act (U.S.), it states that 14-year olds and older are eligible to work most non-agricultural jobs.

But, if you’re younger than that, there can be exceptions, like working in your parents business, for example.

Bear in mind though, that child labor laws will vary based on your area and where you live.

Make sure to do your research and make sure you double check with your state’s minimum age for work.

What is like working as a 15-year old?

It really depends on what you’re doing.

You’ll have a work schedule and you will want to map out your day to include any extracurricular activities and school, making sure it all fits in your workday.

Some 15-year olds work after school while others work weekends only or only seasonally. Or, all of the above.

Figure out what’s best for you and keep this in mind when you pick the job you apply for.
