7 Best Early Morning Jobs to Work

The best early morning jobs. Dive in!

1. Coffee shops

Coffee shops usually open early as people that work at 9-to-5 often solicit coffee shops early in the morning during their commute to the office. It’s not unusual for coffee shops and cafes to open at 5am which means you might be starting your shift at 4am or earlier!

Out of all the different early jobs you can find, coffee shops are one of the easiest to get.

If you have great customer service skills and you don’t mind working in production, creating coffee drinks for customers and getting pastries and preparing food, then this might be the perfect early morning job you’re looking for.

Head to your favorite job search site like Careerbuilder or Monster and search up coffee shop jobs or cafe jobs that are currently hiring.

2. Donut shops

Like coffee shops, donut shops also open early as donuts are breakfast food and a lot of people stop for donuts on their way to work and especially to bring in a dozen donuts to their coworkers.

You will get an early start working at a donut shop. Some even open earlier than coffee shops!

3. Freelance writing

You will be working as an independent contractor writing for clients on any topic you pick like:

  • Cryptocurrency
  • Gardening
  • Pets
  • Healthcare

And, freelance writers work from home, on their own schedule so this is the perfect early morning job because you get to choose how early you want to work.

Start work at 9am or 6 am or whenever you want.

The client usually doesn’t care what schedule you work as long as you perform well and meet deadlines.

Here are some places to find remote freelance writing jobs:

  • Upwork
  • Guru
  • Media Bistro

Don’t know how to freelance write but want to break into this industry? This training will give you everything you need. It’s taught by a writer who makes $200,000 year freelance writing! You will love it.

3. Rideshare driving

This is an independent contractor job where you can work when you want and what hours you want. This early morning job is ideal to start early in the day because you can take people to the airport, to work and other places they need to go early in the morning.

You can work whenever you want and this freedom and flexibility is what draws rideshare drivers to this kind of work.

What companies to apply to?

Lyft and Uber are the dominant players in this industry.

4. Food delivery driving

This is working as a food delivery driver for companies like Doordash, UberEATS, Grub Hub, etc.

You will sign in for work whenever you want then start taking orders. You will be serving the breakfast crowd, picking up food orders and delivering them, earning money for each order you take plus tips!

Doordash is one of my favorite companies I personally use to order takeout delivery from and this article shares more about how to get started Doordash driving.

5. Blogging

Become a blogger! This is how you do it.

Bloggers can work whenever they want.

When I first started, I loved this as an early morning job I could start the minute I get home from dropping my son off at school, then work for some hours in the day and early afternoon and finish my day by 2pm. That’s just my personal schedule. You can work when you want, where you want.

Blogging can be a full-time or part-time income.

Pick your niche, create content, monetize your blog and make money every month. This can even a passive income producer!

This article shows you how to get started blogging.

Blog about whatever you want. Some examples:

  • Starting a Spiritual blog
  • Starting a Pet blog

6. Personal trainer

If you love fitness and you’re passionate about helping others get fit, take up a career as a personal trainer. This is a great job for early morning work. You can take clients in the morning and finish your day by early to mid afternoon.

This can be very high paying if you’re in a big city and/or have a lot of clients.

You can also make digital products for a chance to earn passive income.

7. Influencer

An influencer or content creator is someone that creates content online, usually on social media.

This person might have an account on Tik Tok, YouTube or Instagram and they get paid to share content with the world.

For example, a food influencer might get paid to create recipes and teach cooking to their audience.

A work from home influencer might share with their fans how to create the ultimate work from home space and how to snag a work from home job so they can work remotely.

Influencers make money in a variety of ways including through brand deals, ads, affiliate marketing and selling their own products and services.

This can be very lucrative. Top influencers make millions of dollars every year!

I do some influencer/content creator work on the side and I have made thousands of dollars every month doing it!

What time do you work early morning jobs?

Early morning, usually starting at 4am to 5am or slightly later. It really depends on the job you get. Some may start as late as 9am or others may go as early as 3am if you’re a baker or work as a newscaster.

What are examples of early bird careers?

This info points to early bird careers in the world.

  • Architecture
  • Engineering
  • Farming, fishing and forestry
  • Installation, maintenance and repair
  • Construction and extraction

Really interesting stuff, right?

So if you’re looking for a full-time career as an early bird worker, you might consider turning to these jobs in these fields.

Is working early in the morning good?

I am in favor of early morning jobs. I think that it can help you create a good daily routine for yourself. You can knock out work early in the day and have the rest of your day to yourself.

You have an early start too so when it’s time for bed in the evening, it’ll be easier to fall asleep.

I hope these early morning jobs help you find the perfect job you’re seeking. Good luck!
