    Credit Firm

Credit is something that you definitely need in life.
It affords most people the ability to buy house and buy a car as well as finance other large expenses and sometimes even unexpected costs that can arise.
Even if you have no plans to make a large purchase in the near future it’s still a great idea to make sure your credit is in check. There are so many little things that can impact your credit and often times you may be unaware Of these things impacting your credit score.
A high credit score of forts you a low interest-rate and a low payment where as a low credit score can mean the exact opposite and sometimes not even qualifying for that purchase you’re looking to make.
So with a choice of paying more or paying less, of course you want to pay less in to do that you want to make sure that you have the best credit score possible.
So take a look at Credit firm, which is a company that can help you review and improve your credit. It’s really great to have experts on your side and to take away the overwhelm and stress of trying to manage your credit on your own.

    Respondent

If you’re in a pickle and looking to make a few hundred dollars extra this month, look at online panels. I’ve done multiple panels, earning $100+ for each one. They are free to join and pay anywhere from $40 to $400+.
The most I’ve earned has been $400 on a single panel. It’s like taking a survey but you’ll be doing it interview-style, talking to the researcher on the phone, via email or online.

    Rakuten

Did you know that you can save money on your online shopping? It’s like getting paid to shop.
All you do is install the free cashback browser extension from Rakuten and you’ll get a popup when you land on a partner retail website.
Click “Activate” to activate your cashback and after checkout, it will be applied to your Rakuten account. I earned around $28 very quickly after joining.
It’s not part-time income kind of money but it is extra money that you can get absolutely free, for doing what you’re doing anyway, online shopping.

    Acorns

Considering investing? Not sure where to start?
Acorns helps you invest your spare change on autopilot.  They round up your purchases and invest the difference for you. It’s fully automated investing, right at your fingertips.
Take control, grow your money and more. This is one of my favorite investment companies.

    Chime

Looking for an online bank? Today, there are so many available, it’s tough to pick one.
I joined Chime within the last 6 months and I absolutely love them!
They send me daily balance notifications, alert me when a charge is declined, they have savings accounts and much more.
I love their overdraft protection feature and it’s easier than ever to transfer money to friends and family. Their apps is one of the most streamlined, easy-to-use online banking apps I’ve encountered.
I found them through a discussion in a Facebook group I was spying on. It was a business group and the discussion was about how the girls in the group used Chime for their business banking for their sole proprietorship and it’s helped them separate business and personal expenses.
It’s a great use for that and also perfect for your personal banking.

    Identify Your Goals And Needs:

    • Income requirements

Getting Started with Your Job Hunt

OK, first things first. You’re going to be probably visiting many different websites during your job hunt so just keep track of it all it’s important to stay organized. You can do this by tracking and listing the websites that you visit in a spreadsheet or simply bookmark the website for easy return.

Also consider, many companies will hire throughout the year or seasonally.

So keep us in mind as you’re doing your job hunt and if you happen to StumbleUpon an opportunity that you really love that fits into this category keep a record of it  you can check back for job opportunities available when the season arrives.

When you actually do your job application take your time and make sure you review it before submitting to correct any errors that may have been made. And you would be surprised a lot of simple errors can happen when you fill out drop off locations from things like auto correct, for example.

35+ Entry-Level Remote Jobs for Work From Home

Ok, lets kick off these entry-level remote jobs you can work from home!

Before you dive in, don’t forget to bookmark this post so you can come back to it later and/or pin below!

    Entry-Level Virtual Assistant Jobs

A virtual assistant is a personal assistant that helps their clients virtually. You can have a variety of clients from small businesses too busy professionals or busy household. And you’ll typically do administrative type tasks like taking notes, answering emails and phone calls, and other tasks related to those.

A virtual assistant or VA is a job that I truly love because you don’t need any special skills, background, or education to get started. Well, there are virtual assistant courses or trainings that you can take to help you refine your skills a bit more, they totally are not required and you can land virtual assistant jobs without them.

If you are looking for virtual assistant training, you can find courses online and places like Skillshare and Udemy.

I am a member of both of these market places and I teach courses on you to me. You’ll love both of these markets because they offer cheap courses. Skillshare, at a monthly membership of around $12 gives you access to their tens of thousands of online courses where you can learn everything from French cooking to watercolor painting to SEO transcription and more.

As a total course junkie myself I love that I have access to all of these trainings right at my fingertips and I can dive into a new course whenever I want. They offer two months free to test out the platform so you can check out Skillshare using my link and see if you like it.

Udemy is pretty similar to Skillshare.

They are a course marketplace as well where you can learn a variety of things from learning how to blog to learning computer programming and everything in between. The course instructors set the prices of their courses on Udemy but you Udemy is known for having their awesome $10 and $15 sales so it’s not unusual to snag a $300 course for 10 bucks, no joke. Check out Udemy here to see what they have to offer.

To become a virtual assistant you should have some virtual assistant training, which can be done online.

Here are  companies that hire entry-level virtual assistants:

    • Fancy Hands -A virtual assistant company hiring people to complete small tasks for clients. Some light phone work may be required here. Your tasks will be admin-based like doing research online or scheduling appointments, for example.
    • Vicky Virtual – You will work as a virtual receptionist. You should be a strong typist and phone work is required.

Remote Entry-Level Jobs in Editing and Proofreading

Editing is about going in and reviewing a document for errors in spelling, grammar, readability, and fact checking. And proofreading is pretty similar but it’s limited to correcting spelling and grammar errors.

Both of these jobs require that you have a strong attention to detail and that you are pretty organized. Your job is important and one of the last steps in the publishing process.

here are some remote entry level editing and proofreading jobs to take a look at:

Now writing is one of my favorite remote entry level jobs!

I turned to writing fresh out of college when I was working my first corporate job. At that time I was looking for a little extra money to buffer my bank account and writing helped me do that.

Today I’m still a copywriter, helping businesses, bloggers and clients with their writing needs. Writing is great because it lets you be creative and it can be a very lucrative living.

This is the kind of job are you working part time and make a full-time income. Here are some remote entry level writing jobs to review:

    Entry-Level Transcription Jobs

Alright, so transcription is all about typing what you hear. It sounds pretty easy because it really can be. Imagine working with headphones on listening to a conversation going on and then typing what you hear. That’s transcription, essentially.

As a transcriptionist you’ll have a variety of different clients from Podcasters to attorneys and more.

To be a transcriptionist you should be well organized, a great communicator, with great attention to detail, a good listener, and a fast typist.

There are tons of transcription trainings out there that you can take although you can totally get away with working one or more transcription jobs without training.

The tricky part comes to the style guide, which is a guide that you’ll follow which basically gives you instructions for how to transcribe. It’ll tell you what speakers or conversations you can ignore, what to do if you can’t make out inaudible speech, etc.

So, this is where your organization and attention to detail skills will come into play. If you can follow instructions then you can definitely be a transcriptionist. And here are some jobs you can snag that are hiring for remote transcriptionists.

    Entry-Level Remote Phone Jobs

Remote phone jobs are popping up left and right all over the Internet which is definitely great news. To work a remote phone job do you want to make sure that you have access to a quiet space like a home office for example.

You’ll need minimal equipment like a computer, a headset and some other equipment may be required. Some companies may even provide you with materials and equipment to do your job from home, which is great.

Working a phone job means that you should have excellent communication skills, you should be great at explaining and giving instructions over the phone and practice excellent customer service, of course. Working from home especially in a remote phone job may be the ultimate dream for many but, take it from me, it is not without its caveats.

When I was working my last job I was so ecstatic to learn that they were introducing a work from home program. My entire team got to go through the rotation which lasted a few months and consisted of me working from home a few weeks at a time and a few days at a time.

What I Liked About Working My Remote Phone Job

Aside from the first couple days which were kind of rocky because the technical glitches, it actually was pretty nice.

    Imagine eliminating your commute completely.

Although I didn’t get to experience the full benefit of this because I was literally a two minute drive from my workplace, when I moved away a few years later I realized how lucky I was because at that point I was commuting about two hours a day.

Other than no commute, you also get to enjoy working out of a comfortable space, your home. You get to enjoy breaks and lunches in solitude as well as working alone, independently. Depending on what you do you may even be able to listen to light music or television in the background.

A coworker of mine even hooked up her computer to her big screen TV and used that as a computer monitor to work and she absolutely loved it.

Plus there’s things like your cat cuddling your feet when you working and having access to unlimited coffee without fear of being judged and other awesome perks.

What I Did NOT Liked About Working My Remote Phone Job

The main thing I did not enjoy about working my remote phone job was work life balance.

The only space I can work from is my bedroom because that’s where my desk was so it’s a little difficult to leave work behind when your workspace is literally a couple inches from your bed.

It was a bit hard to detach and transition from work to home when I got off and while that may not seem like a big deal if you’ve ever struggled with work like balance you know that it definitely is.

But you can do you things to help improve work life balance like working further away from the spaces in your home that you rest like using a spare bedroom as a home office where you can close the door and shut yourself out from the rest of your home. And other things you can do to improve your work life balance.

For me because I only work from home for a couple months I didn’t get the chance to fully explore these other options but I did return to the work place which eliminated my work life balance issue.

    1. Money Skills #1 | Save Money

It’s all about using practical money skills.

The first step to building your empire is do you have money in the bank can you do that by saving money. Regardless of how much or how little you might be making you can still save.

Here are some tips and tactics to help you start saving money beginning this month.

    • Start a savings account
    • Pay yourself first
    • Budget
    • Savings goals
    • Check your progress
    • Keep pushing

    Open a Savings Account

The first step to starting to save money is to actually have a savings account.

So if you don’t have a savings account make sure you open one. A savings account can be opened with your local bank or you can check with an online bank to open a savings.

I recently joined Chime which which is an online bank and I absolutely love them. Here’s my link if you want to join Chime and if you refer your friends and they open direct deposit, you both get $50 so if you let them share them.

    Pay Yourself First

when you get your paycheck, make sure to automatically distribute a set amount of money to your savings account. This is called paying yourself first.

So the whole idea is that when you get paid the money will instantly hit your savings.

And there’s no work that you have to do at all. You won’t touch the money and you will just start saving on auto pilot.

It’s a really easy way to start saving money. It’s automated and you won’t be tempted to spend that money.

    Put Yourself on a Budget

Budgeting is so crucial to your savings plan. Budgeting is really simple and it’s all about monitoring your spending habits so you don’t overspend. This can help you avoid living paycheck to paycheck. You also eliminate the stress that you have revolving around money.

Try Mint. This app is so awesome. It’s free and easy to use. I use Mint myself and love it!

    Create Savings Goals

Creating goals is a good way to start moving toward objectives that you have in the future. So if you have a goal of saving say $10,000 make that a savings goal and start moving towards that.

    Check in on Your Results

there’s really no point in making goals for yourself if you don’t check in. You have got to monitor your results and see how you’re doing along the way so, don’t forget to check in periodically and see how you’re doing.

This does give you some great motivation to keep pushing and moving toward your savings goals. This could be something as little as checking your results once a week or once a month. It’s super easy.

    Keep Pushing Yourself

This one is simple, just keep pushing and moving forward. There may be obstacles that fall in your way but you can get through it and you can meet your goals. There are tons of ways to save, like getting free Netflix (one of my favorite hacks) to satisfy your entertainment needs.

    2. Money Skills #2 | Check Your Credit

You get one free credit check per year.

Make sure you’re taking advantage of it. Checking your credit every year is a great practice to have to make sure your credit report is free of errors and your credit is maintaining and improving over time.

I personally use credit karma to check my credit, but there are a ton of other places we can go to get free credit reports to you.

Now, your credit report is free which means you can see the contents of your credit like your accounts and balances but your credit score may not be free so if you’re curious about your score you may have to pay a small fee to see that when you check your credit annually. I just wanted to share that says there’s no surprise there.

If you find that you have weak credit and you want to improve it, that’s definitely a great decision.

You won’t use your credit all the time but in life you will probably need credit for those large purchases like buying a house or buying a car.

    How to Build Your Credit

And if your credit is poor, that could mean literally adding hundreds of dollars to your monthly payment or worse, not qualifying for that asset (house or car) at all.

You don’t wanna find yourself in that position so if you have bad credit I highly recommend that you get with a credit repair company to help improve it. I do have a recommendation for that, it’s the company Lexington Law.

I have many friends and family members that have used Lexington Law to help rebuild their credit.

You pay them on a monthly basis and they have several plans to fit every budget so you can definitely find an affordable option for you.

You won’t be paying them forever. The goal is to work with them to help eliminate credit errors, dispute inaccuracies, get bad credit items off your credit report and other strategies and tactics that they use to improve your credit.

They have a helpful app where you can monitor everything and they email you often throughout the month to keep you updated on how things are progressing.

They also tell you when late items or negative reporting items have been taken off your credit report and they track everything so you can see how your score and credit is improving over time. You can check out Lexington Law here.

    3. Money Skills #3 | Reducing Your Spending

The truth is we all spend money unnecessarily sometimes. And many times it is those little purchases right under your nose that you don’t even realize are drying up your bank account every single month.

There are ways to reduce your spending and live richly, be happier, eliminate stress, and gain peace of mind.

First, track your spending. This can be challenging to do manually so I recommend you use an app. I use the Mint app which I also use for budgeting.

    Money skills

They put all of your spending into different categories and they’ll alert you when you’re spending more for the month so you can back off of that.

Like, for example when the pandemic hit, like a lot of people I was buying a lot of food. I wasn’t necessarily hoarding or stocking up but when something in life is out of your control, sometimes you want to try to gain a little control in any way you can and for me that was through making sure my family had plenty of food.

The whole idea of this was really to eliminate the need to go to the grocery store often.

Before, I would go grocery shopping around once a week but I had to change that to around once every month to month and a half, just so I didn’t have to make frequent trips and be around people so I could stay healthy.

    Other ways to reduce spending:

    • Lower your utility usage
    • Cut back on subscriptions (like subscription boxes, etc.)
    • Cut the cable (we went from $200+ per month to around $30 with streaming providers like Hulu and Netflix)
    • Cook at home
    • Stop eating out
    • Enjoy no-spend weekends
    • Exercise at home
    • Do your hair and nails at home (no more salon visits)

These changes do not have to be permanent so don’t panic but they are easy ways to cut your spending so you can start saving more and moving more quickly towards your money goals.

    4. Money Skills #4 | Invest

Investing is so much fun. If you’re a beginner and new to investing, don’t let it overwhelm you. Investing is just a good way to have your money work for you and today there are more and more tools and apps than ever to help you start investing easily.

I really like Acorns. You can sign up for Acorns for free and it helps you invest your spare change. So you link it to your bank account and it kind of works on autopilot, investing your spare change for you.

They have a really neat app to help you monitor everything too.

    5. Money Skills #5 | Pay Off Debt

Work toward paying off your debt. If you’re deciding between saving and paying off your debt, saving should always be done first and paying down your debt should be done second.

But if you have extra money available, throw that toward your debt so you can pay it off that much faster. I paid off my car loan in under six months. I read stories of others paying off student loans and mortgages and other kinds of debt quickly too.

Refinancing and Consolidation to Lower Your Debt Load

    Money skills

You can also consider refinancing or consolidating your debt.

I did this with my student loan several years ago and it helped me lower my payment and drastically reduce my interest-rate. So it was a win-win all around.

Keep in mind, every time you refinance, you don’t necessarily save. Although you may have a lower monthly payment, if you extend your term that means that you are paying more overall in the long term. Though, this may be a necessity for some who are struggling to pay bills every month.

Like if you can refinance a car loan to lower your payment by $100 every month and you need that hundred dollars for living, by all means do it and when you get back on your feet you can look at paying that down over a quicker pace to make up for anything.

Simple Trick for Payment Relief If You’re Struggling

And, if you’re struggling or living paycheck to paycheck, a neat tip a lot of people don’t know is to actually reach out to their creditors.

Your creditors are on your side, believe it or not.

They want to get paid and if you talk to them to keep them in the loop, letting them know what’s going on, they can assist you by offering payment options, payment delays, forbearance or other ways to help you keep the account in good standing, keep your services, and pay your debt.

    6. Money Skills #6 | Side Hustling

Oh my gosh, getting a side hustle is something you definitely want to do!

Its a top money skill to keep in your back pocket.

With a side hustle, that means that you’re making more money you can save, save faster, invest more and pay off your debts more quickly.

If this is an option for you, definitely jump on it.

    My First Side Hustle

Shortly after college when I landed my full-time job, a few years into it I found myself wanting to make more money.

Although I wasn’t struggling or living paycheck to paycheck I just wanted more so I took on a side hustle and that was copywriting.

I did that for several months until I landed my side hustle in online retail which ended up affording me the opportunity to quit my day job because I was making so much money in that side hustle! I won’t go into that story as you’ve probably heard it before.

I mentioned it often on a blog but in a nutshell I started an online store while I was working my 9 to 5 and about a year into it I was able to replace my day job income so I quit that job and ran business full-time!

And in its peak I was making up to $30,000 per month.

This happens all the time to entrepreneurs all over the world. Their side hustle outpaces their day job and when this happens, you’re in the awesome position to leave your day job and many people do. And so that’s how it went for me.

I’ve already touched on investing a bit up above but this is a little different and it’s about investing in real estate. Many people think that you need a ton of money to invest in real estate. Real estate investing goes beyond flipping houses or buying foreclosures or tax liens. You can actually invest in real estate with very little money with sites like Fundrise.

Fundrise let’s you get a piece of the pie by investing in a real estate portfolio with very little money up front. This is a cool way to make a lot of money with little investment to start. This company really gets me excited and I recommend you check them out.

    Increasing Your Income by $1,000

Increase your income by $1,000/month by consolidating your debt. Hang on with me for a sec, let me explain.

First, think about your debts. You have…

    • Credit cards
    • Student loans
    • Auto loan
    • Personal loan
    • Other loans possibly

Each loan or credit account has an interest rate and monthly payment. If you combine them all into one, you can likely lower your interest rate, and lower your monthly payment.

I did this my student loans a few years ago and went from $200/month or so to $50/month!

    Let’s look at an example..

    • 1 credit card 10% $2,000 balance
    • 1 student loan 5% $10,000 balance
    • 1 student loan 11.99% $8,000 balance
    • 1 auto loan 8% $5,000 balance

The average of the interest rates is 8.74%.

What if you could combine all those debts for an interest rate lower than that?

Or, what if you could negotiate your balances lower to reduce your payments?

These are just some of the options that may be available with this company.

Are you tired of debt controlling your life?

    Debt is hard to ignore.

It’s easy for your debt balances to balloon out of control and take over your entire life. It can feel overwhelming and become more and more difficult to fend off the collections calls.

Recommended Resources to Increase Your Income and Save Money

  • How to Deal With a Day Job and a Side Business

I have been there. My last day job before I became an entrepreneur felt like a juggling act. I was dealing with a day job and a side business.

My struggles included time management, work/life balance, avoiding burn out, making best use of my personal time, and more. But, I figured it out. And, if you’re in this position too, this article will help you learn how to deal with a day job and a side business.

Keep reading and make sure to bookmark this post so you can come back to it later.

How to Deal with a Day Job and a Side Business

Who would pick such a fate? A day job and a side business. Well, the truth is, having a side business comes with a ton of benefits:

    • More income
    • A side project that pays
    • The opportunity to pursue your dream
    • The chance for your side business to become your full-time gig
    • And, more!

For me, I had always dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur. This feeling had been disguised growing up. Looking back, I realize that my hobbies revolving around art, fashion and other creative loves was about setting out and doing my own thing, as an entrepreneur.

I wanted to be a model, an artist, a CEO. And all these things have one thing in common: you’re the boss. And, you’re likely an entrepreneur.

I figured this out a few years after I graduated college.

Before college, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. After college, I was kind of still in that space but I fell into a career field where I loved learning about a skill that would help me in my personal life. And, that was banking and finance.

So I did the banking/finance thing for a decade.

In the last 5 years of that, I began to get bored with that job and wanted more. I applied to tons of jobs, interviewed for many but something just wasn’t right. I couldn’t find the right fit. Despite being moved throughout the company, learning more, getting promoted and raises, I still wasn’t fulfilled like I thought I’d be.

That’s when I realized I wanted to be an entrepreneur.

So, I set out and did it!

This is what my schedule looked like.

Being Swamped Balancing a Job and a Side Business

I had a baby in the mix and my day started at 5 am with nursing my little guy. Then, I’d get ready for work, head in to the office, pump in the morning in the nursing mother’s room and then go to work.

My work day was normal. Work, nursing mothers room, then on breaks and lunch, I’d do business stuff.

My day was 8 to 10 hours long. With traffic, that oozed into 11 to 12 hour days.

I’d get home, make dinner, do chores, play with the baby, spend time with my husband and by 9pm I was back to the business.

I’d work from 9pm to around 1 or 2 in the morning, go to sleep, then wake at 5 am and the cycle repeated.

I was exhausted, burnt out but I loved what I did in my business and kept going.

A year into it, my business income outpaced my day job salary so I quit!

Here are some takeaways I learned from trying to balance a job and a side business:

    1. Create a routine

Make a daily routine and practice it everyday. Create a separate weekend routine too. Stick to it. This helps you stay organized and get all the important stuff in.

    2. Slow Down

Running a business does not have to be a rat race. Slow down, take your time and realize that your personal time is just as important as work.

    3. Create a Plan

If you have a business or you are thinking of starting one, you have got to put together a business plan. This helps you put your thoughts on paper, craft a real strategy for your enterprise and execute it.

    4. Take Time Off

There should be days in your week where you take a break from running the business. Take this time off, though it might be hard for you. You will need it and it will be helpful to recharge and re-energize yourself.

    5. Get a Team

Sometimes you can’t do it alone. Get help. Hire staff. Ask family to help, even if it means babysitting your kids so you can have some quiet time to nap or work on your business. It’s all about outsourcing.

    6. Sleep and Eat

When we get busy, we forget these 2 important things. Take time. Rest and eat.

    7. Monitor your Progress

Track your results. It’s a great motivator and holds you accountable. It reminds you of what you’re working toward.

    Final Thoughts

There you go! My top tips to deal with a day job and a side business.

    You can do it!

7 Ways to Save on Utilities

Save money on your utilities. This is how you do it!

    1. Unplug Appliances Not Used

Have you heard of this one? Sounds easy. Maybe too easy to be true but it totally is.

When not in use, unplug those appliances!  Because when they’re plugged in, you’re still using power, believe it or not. It’s called vampire energy.

    Examples of vampire energy:

    • Your toaster sitting on your kitchen counter plugged in
    • Your TV plugged in when you’re away for the day at work
    • Your can opener or bread maker plugged in or your computer and printer hogging energy when you’re not using them

This is one you can try starting today and it will make a sizable impact!

    How to Do it?

    Go room by room.

    Next, unplug.

    That’s literally it.

Here are some examples appliances and devices you might have plugged in:

    • Coffee brewers
    • Toasters
    • Icecream machines
    • Bread makers
    • Video game consoles
    • DVD players
    • Slow cookers
    • Priners
    • Fax machines

    There’s more than this too!

Make an effort on this one and you will see your utility bill shrink.

    2. Invest in Smart Power Strips

A smart power strip is what you need. It lets you connect all your electronics to a single strip of outlets. When you want to turn it all off, flip the switch and all devices that are plugged into the strip instantly turn off.

    Super easy.

This one from Amazon is a favorite. It can sit on your desk or counter! This is sitting on my computer desk right now!

    3. Switch to a Programmable Thermostat

When you’re at work during the day, your home can be warmer. In the evening when you are home, your house can be cooler. And this can be programmed super easily with a programmable thermostat.

    I love Nest.

It’s a stylish programmable thermostat that can be run using your smartphone!

Big money saver. Try this one.

    4. Time Your Water Usage

    Limit showers.

Don’t run the water while brushing your teeth.

These are just a few things you can do to limit water usage and save money on your water bill.

And, if you EVER have a broken toilet. Make sure to get it fixed ASAP.

In my old place, I had a broken toilet and let it go way too longer before it got fixed. Little did I know that while the toilet was broken, it was running water, 24/7.

My water bill was 7X the normal price the next month.

    Waste of money.

Don’t let this be you. Tend to this if it ever happens in your home.

    5. Keep Your Home Cool and Well-Decorated with Curtains or Blinds

Curtains. Blinds. Get them. Use them.

Not only are they stylish and can totally transform your space but, they also help keep your energy costs down.

Regulate the temperature in your home better with window coverings. Try this, it works!

    6. Energy-Efficient Light bulbs

Try LED bulbs or green-friendly light bulbs. These use less energy and last longer. That means less time throughout the year worrying about replacing bulbs.

    7. Call Your Utility Company

Don’t be shy. Reach out to your utility provider to see if they can save you money.

This can include promotions on rates, free money-saving equipment, and more.

P.S.  You can save on cable by getting free Netflix!

  • How to make $1000 a month

You want to make $1000 a month. You’re not alone. A lot of people are looking for ways to make more money. Did you know that most of the American public lives paycheck to paycheck? Really, most Americans struggle financially.

You want to make more money. You want to make $1000 a month, but not sure how to get there.

You’re in luck! I’ve been reviewing and researching side hustles for nearly a decade. It all starts back when I was at my corporate job. I was making good money. And, I wasn’t living paycheck to paycheck but I wanted more.

I wanted to grow my savings, eventually buy a house one day, and not have a worry about finances. So, I started my hunt for side hustles and ways to make extra money.

While you’re reviewing this, if you want to grow some passive income, check out these 7 passive income ideas.

Here are 10 ways to make $1000 a month that you can start this week. Enjoy.

    1. Ecommerce

This is one of the things that I did when I was working my 9 to 5. My ecommerce brand became so successful, it actually helped me leave my day job and run the business full time.

I reached $30K per month in it’s peak, with 50,000+ monthly page views.

Also, made a lot of friends in the ecommerce community. I learned a lot. I made a lot. Life was good. I was finally living my life as an entrepreneur.

    How did I do it?

I started by picking a niche. Your niche is your category. What will you sell?

    • Fashion
    • Home goods
    • Food
    • Baby stuff
    • Toys
    • Shoes

The list goes on and on and on. Pick something. Then, find suppliers.

Figure out how you will get your supply. Will you make it? Will you need to find a manufacturer or wholesaler?

I did wholesale and I used places online to fuel to my store, like:

Then, you launch your store. Go with Shopify. This is who I went through. They are A+ and have everything you need to run a successful store:

    • Gorgeous, professional paid and free themes for your store
    • Access to experts to help you with customer service, marketing, fulfillment, etc.
    • An app store with free and paid apps for everything under the sun, like marketing, customer service, email marketing, etc.

Right now Shopify has a 14-day free trial. If ecommerce is something you want to try. Give it a test drive and see how you like it. You will NOT be disappointed, trust me.

    2. Blogging

Start a blog, like this one, Millennial Nextdoor.

Write about your passion. Make money online. Connect with an audience. It’s really awesome.

On my Tik Tok, I just featured this college blogger who makes $30K+ per month as a blogger.

She just graduated college and she’s already making six figures. She started her blog while in college and it blossomed beautifully. Follow me on Tik Tok to see more business tips and business/blogger spotlights!

You can start a free blog, like on Medium. But, if you want to make the most money with blogging and establish a professional name for yourself as a blogger, you’ll need web hosting.

I recommend Siteground for web hosting services. They offer affordable hosting, at $3 to $6 per month. And, their service is incredible. I’ve talked to their chat team a few times and they are on point! Siteground is who I use for my blog, by the way.

This blog, Millennial Nextdoor, is actually like my 20th-something website, I think.

I do website flipping on the side. So, I have tons of experience creating sites.

My first blog grew to $1,400/month in under a year and I sold it for a cool $12,000!

I will teach you all my tips and tricks for growing a blog. Make sure to bookmark Millennial Nextdoor so you can keep up with all my updates and new blog posts!

Check out my free guide for how to start a profitable blog.

    3. Freelance Writing

I’ve made tens of thousands of dollars freelance writing. I’ve probably made six figures by now. I started taking freelance writing jobs more frequently starting last year. I made nearly $30K from it in 2019 and it was on the side!

If you love writing, get paid for it!

You can charge $.02 to $.05 per word as a beginner.

This means, if you have 3 clients writing 10,000 words/month each, you can earn this much:

    10,000 words * $.05/word = $500 times 3 clients = $1,500!

And, you might shiver at 10,000 words, but it really isn’t that much content.

Here are some tips to crank out quality writing work quickly:

    • Try dictation: this is where you speak aloud and have your computer type what you’re saying. It’s a free feature on Google Docs!
    • Make an outline for your writing-this helps you write so much faster
    • Use Google-look at those “People Also Ask” questions and use those in your writing. It’s great for SEO. See screenshot below.

    4. Sell Services

Do you have skills? Sell services.

You can sell them on Fiverr and it can include:

    • Voiceover
    • Graphic design
    • Logo design
    • Business card design
    • Video editing
    • And, more!

    5. Sell Ebooks

Write an ebook, sell it, make money.

If you have an audience, like a following on social media, you can create a book in your niche and sell it!

If you have an email list, that’s even better.

Create a book on cooking vegan food, running a business, becoming a mobile notary, yoga, really anything you want.

    This can be incredibly lucrative.

Sell it on your own with a service like Sendowl.

They are super cheap with plans starting at just $9/month.

    Or, get on Amazon!

Sell on KDP and be on Amazon’s platform with your book available for sale to the public.

    6. Sell Courses

Courses are another great alternative to making $1000 a month! You can price your course at $200 and only need 5 sales per month to meet your $1,000 goal!

Where Do You Create Your Course?

    Where Do You Sell?

You will have a link that you can direct people to for purchase of your course.

Sell your course to family and friends. Sell on social media.

    Share to your email list.

You can also do free promotion or paid marketing to make sales, like using Facebook ads or Pinterest Promoted Pins.

    How Much Can You Make?

You can make a lot! A full-time income, passively!

Top course creators have $500K+ launches!

If you have knowledge a niche or expertise in a field, consider teaching about it online.

    7. Dog Walking

Love animals? Walk dogs. Or, you can do pet sitting.

This is a fun job that gets you outdoors and around these furry friends.

It will alleviate stress, make you feel great and you get paid for it!

Where to Find Dog Walking Jobs?

It’s a great use for that and also perfect for your personal banking.

    passive income ideas

    What is Passive Income?

Passive income is the ability to make money with little to no maintenance work required. There is work involved, don’t get me wrong, but only in the foundation-building phase. First, there’s foundation-building, then maintenance.

For example, you spend 40 hour creating a dozen printables to sell online. Then, you load them to your Etsy store and as they sell all month long, you don’t need to do anything. Sales hit your bank account and you can make money even while you sleep!

There are tons of ways to make passive income overnight.

I’m going to share 7 of them with you and tell you what’s required, how to get started and pro tips to make the most possible.

7 Passive Income Ideas to Make You Rich

    passive income ideas

    1. Digital Products

I shared one example already, the Etsy printables! Digital products are products that are available digitally. You create your product, connect it to a shopping cart and make money passively!

Here are some examples of digital products that you can create:

    • Digital courses
    • Printables
    • Digital planners
    • Ebooks
    • Eguides
    • Digital calendars
    • Digital checklists
    • And, more!

    How to create digital products?

You can create many digital products using simple word processing software like Google Docs or MS Word. Others that require graphics or more creatives can be done with Canva or PicMonkey.

There are even templates for ebooks, digital planners, etc. that make the process even easier. Head to Creative Market and look at these templates for ebooks and other digital goods, to help you cut time by creating your product rapidly.

This is a shortcut that the pros do!

How do I make money passively with digital products?

I started creating digital products almost 10 years ago. Today, I do very little maintenance to them and I still get payments all throughout the year.

One platform that I make money from is Udemy. I created courses for Udemy a while back and still make passive income from it today! If you want to take another shortcut, check out this easy $30 course on creating digital products like the Pros. You can learn step-by-step how to do this and begin making money from digital products right away.

    2. Sell Stock Photos

    passive income ideas

Are you an amateur or professional photographer? Make money selling stock photos! Stock photo companies are in need of gorgeous photography from photographers just like you. In fact Shutterstock has paid out millions to people selling their photos on their site!

    How to Get Started?

The process is simple. First, set up your account. Then, add photos and start selling!

This is 100% passive. Once you upload your photos, you don’t need to do anything else. The perfect opportunity to make money in your sleep.

No fancy photo equipment needed. With the technology that exists in smartphones, you can take a stunning photo using just your cell phone.

Give this a try to start making passive income!

    3. Rent Out Your Space on AirBNB

This works if you own OR rent your place. Make money doing nothing, renting out your home to short-term renters.

Join AirBNB for free, rent your space, make money.

    Easy!

    What’s Required to Get Started?

There are no up front fees to get started with AirBNB but, you will need your space to be clean and ready for guests.

Do you have linens like towels, toiletries, etc? Is your home hotel room-ready?

Think about when you visit a hotel room. It’s clean, tidy and organized. There are towels, a coffee bar, etc. Recreate that feeling in your own home, even if you’re just renting out a room.

    How Does Rental Arbitrage Work?

If you rent, you can do the same thing. Same process.

The only different is you’ll want to get permission from your landlord in advance.

    How Much Can You Make?

Renting out your home weekends only at $200/night can make you an extra $2,400/month before fees!

Renting out a room weekends only at $80/night can make you an extra $960/month before fees!

That’s real money and it’s totally passive.

Hop onto AirBNB to learn more!

    4. Rent Out Your Car

You can use GetAround to make money renting out your car.

If you’re a homebody like me, this makes perfect sense on the weekends.

I love to snuggle in on the weekends. Clean the entire house, then take a hot bath and relax for the rest of the weekend watching movies, cooking at home, listening to music, playing with the kids and pets. It’s a good time.

I hardly ever use my car on the weekends.

So, why not rent it out?

Try this and make a few hundred to a few thousand dollars extra every single month!

    5. Build a Niche Website

This is easier than you might think.

First, build a website. You can do this for under $50 yourself, in about an hour.

Get hosting. Connect WordPress. Apply a website theme and add content.

For the content, this will be articles around a particular niche, like:

    • Boating
    • Skiing
    • Golfing
    • Knitting
    • Tuba playing
    • Piano lessons
    • Baking
    • Vegan cooking
    • Anything you want, really!

Write 30 blog posts about your niche and monetize them with affiliate links.

You will want to do SEO research on the topics you write about to ensure you can rank your posts on Google to get traffic. Once this is done, you literally don’t have to do anything. Traffic will start coming in. People will click your affiliate links, buy, and you will earn commission.

    6. Create a Course

Courses are digital products! You can teach an audience online about a topic you are passionate about.

And, you can make a lot of money!

Course creators have been known to make $400,000 or more in a single course launch, like pros Melyssa Griffin and Mariah Coz!

Use the platform Teachable for your course.

    Launch online.

And, do little to no maintenance while you make money in your sleep.

    7. Invest Your Spare Change

What’s Required to Make These Passive Income Ideas Work?

Will, determination, and follow through. You will need a computer or cell phone with internet access. And above all, actually do it. You might be research and reading posts on Pinterest and Google, checking out Reddit and other places trying to find passive income ideas.

You take in all this great info but you don’t take action so you don’t make money.
