5 Ideas to Start a Business with No MoneyThinking about starting a business but low on startup funds?

No worries, I’ve got 5 awesome business ideas you can start from home with no out of pocket expense.

If you have always dreamed about starting a business but were held back by the startup capital, you won’t have to wait any longer. Check out these 5 smart ideas to start a business with no money.

How to Start a Business with No Money

You have to pick a service business, first of all. Product businesses are those where you sell products, like home goods, apparel, etc.

Service businesses are where you offer a service, like accounting, bookkeeping, tax prep, graphic design, etc.

Service businesses are ideal to start with no money because you’ll have low or no overhead and no up front service cost.

A lot of service businesses can start just using a laptop and an office.

Check out these ideas to give you some inspiration.

5 Smart Business Ideas to Start with No Money

    1. Graphic Design

We mentioned it above. A graphic designer creates beautiful illustrations and designs for others. This could be…

    • Website design
    • Logo design
    • Business card design
    • Flyers
    • Book cover design
    • And, more!

If you are a creative and have knowledge of how to use graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop or even Canva, then you can look at becoming a designer.

Small projects like logo design can range for $50 and up. Larger projects like website design can go upwards of $10,000. There is a lot of flexibility and this is the perfect business to stretch your creative spirit.

    2. Copywriter

This is where I got my start. Prior to starting my first product business, I did copywriting. I did it on the side while I worked my primary job and I absolutely loved it! I still do copywriting today. In fact, I’m the head of content for a few companies.

Copywriters create content for others, like:

    • White papers
    • Blog posts
    • Magazine articles
    • Product descriptions
    • Sales page copy
    • And, more!

If you love writing and can follow directions well, you can look into copywriting. Entry level copywriters can charge $.05/word and if you write 50,000 words/month, that’s around $2,500 in income.

This is also a great business to turn into an agency. A content agency will have multiple writers on staff so you can get large orders for content and simply outsource it to your staff.

You can keep freelancers on board, that are paid after the client pays you, and you get a cut of their work.

For example, if you book a $5,000 project, you can outsource to a freelancer and give them half, or $2,500 and you keep the other half. This is a great way to make a lot of money fast. A lot of new agencies that have popped up make money quickly, even from the start.

    3. Accountant

If you know accounting, you can help others with the “books.”

You can manage their accounting business throughout the month and do this with multiple companies, making a nice living.

This is for people who are certified in accounting. It’s really not the kind of job that you can self-teach yourself like writing or graphic design, so keep that in mind.

    4. HVAC Repair

Do you know how to repair A/C and heating units? A friend of the family does this and he makes a nice living. He loves the freedom and flexibility it gives him. He is out and about fixing HVAC units during the day. He makes his own schedule and the time goes by so fast.

    5. Social Media Manager

Get paid to play on social media. I do this too! I absolutely love it because it allows me to help businesses grow on social media. You can grow their social presence, get them followers, and create traffic from social networks back to their business.

This is great for Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and other networks.

If you’ve never done this before, this is the kind of job that you can teach yourself. Or, better yet, take a class on Skillshare! Skillshare offers a library of 20,000+ online courses on everything from French baking to digital marketing to copywriting, learning Spanish and everything inbetwen. It’s only around $10/month and you get unlimited access to the courses. I’m a member!

So get on Skillshare, take a course on social media marketing, practice on your own accounts then start getting clients.

SMMs can charge $1,000/month or more depending on how many networks they manage, per client. Ten clients per month means $10,000/mo.

  • 6 Ways to Find Focus While Working from Home

6 Ways to Find Focus While Working from HomeYou are thrown into working from home. It’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of! Or, is it?

Maybe you’ve always wanted to work from home or wondered what it was like. Now, that you’re doing it. You find it hard to focus, stay balanced, be productive and actually work!

    This is common.

When I first started working from home, it was an exciting feeling. I was working for myself so making my own schedule, making the rules, having snacks and coffee at my desk, these were just some of the perks I got to enjoy.

    It’s not all roses, though.

If you’re finding yourself starting to hate working from home or just can’t focus on your stuff, keep reading for these 6 productivity hacks to help you become focused again.

6 Ways to Find Focus While Working from Home

    1. Batch Work

Batching involves working in small batches of time. You turn off all distractions and just work, work, work. Distractions can include:

    • TV
    • Radio
    • Snacks and coffee (yes, these are included)

Really anything that can take your mind away from working. It can be tough. Even now as I write this, I’m half-arguing with my 7-year old to go play in his room, with YouTube on TV muted in the background. This isn’t my batch time, just to let you know but these are some distractions that people cope with at home.

Even your pets can be distracting. My cats have their cuddle time the same time everyday and that’s usually in the morning and late at night. So, when I’m diving into writing a piece for a client and they crawl onto my lap and force me to pet them, however cute, that is distracting.

Turn everything off. Lock yourself in a room and batch work. This will make you hyper focus.

    How long is a batch?

You determine this but, I’d aim for at least 20 minutes.

You can do something like, work 20-30 minutes, take a 5-10 minute break. Rinse and repeat.

    2. Wear Work Clothes

This might sound silly but if you’re in more formal wear (and not pajamas), it helps you be more productive. Try this and you’ll see what I mean. This even includes wearing shoes in your house.

    3. Get Organized

Take some time and organize your work station. This means cleaning up your desk, making sure everything has a place and just making it so easy for you to work.

My husband is working from home this week and he has his coffee station at his desk plus an essential oil diffuser, to give him energy. You want to think about how you work and put everything where you need it to be.

No hunting for a pen when you have to jot a note down. Know where your cell phone is when you get a work text so you can get to it quickly. Just organize the heck out of your space.

    4. Prioritize Your Tasks

When you’ve got a lot to do, it can feel overwhelming. To cope with this, prioritize your stuff.

Make a list of what’s most important, what deadlines are approaching and assign time to each task. It’s great if you can finish one thing at a time, instead of just doing a little work on a bit of this and a bit of that. Knocking out one task fully and calling it done will give you an amazing feeling and make you feel like you accomplished something for the day.

    5. Make a List

This is a to-do list and it helps you stay on top of your day. This includes adding breaks and lunch to this list too! These things are important.

There’s so much to do in a day, you don’t want to forget.

Before I started doing lists, I used to keep everything I needed to do in my head.

I’d remember them occasionally and make a mental note to get started on a task for the day or during the week and NEVER would. This resulted in projects and tasks getting started late, hustling to meet deadlines and just working in a totally disorganized way.

Now, I do lists in my cell phone and I use an organizer to keep me on track.

    6. Be Comfortable

Nothing is worse than being uncomfortable when you work. I recently talked to my sister who told me she does her work from home on her couch smh. While that sounds dreamy and it might be kind of comfortable, that feeling does not last, trust me.

Not to mention, when you are off work, you sit on your couch and you think about work.

You need not only a dedicated space to work, like your office but you also need to make it comfortable. You can do this with an ergonomic chair, pillows to support your back, a great desk, and in other ways.

Your want your work environment to be structured but comfortable at the same time.

My sis eventually moved to her work desk which I recommended to her and she loves that she made that change.

  • How to Make Money Freelance Writing

How to Make Money Freelance WritingSo, you want to learn how to make money freelance writing?

Freelance writing is an excellent profession that allows you to explore your creative side while painting a picture with words.

There’s a lot of diversity in writing and you will never get bored writing blog posts, magazine articles, website content, press releases, and more.

I started my adventure in writing over 5 years ago. Back then I was working my nine-to-five job and I was looking for a way to make extra money so, I started writing for content mills and small publishers that turned me around $25 to $30 per article.

I ended up taking a break from writing as one of my other side hustles took off (and that was my e-commerce store).

Today I’m back on writing as I’ve sold my e-commerce store which was a lot of fun (but also a lot more work) and I’ve come back to my passion for writing.

This lucrative industry can make you a six figure income (more on how Holly makes $200K per year writing down below).

Whether you’re looking to build a career in freelance writing or seeking an avenue for extra money, this article will show you exactly what you need to start making money freelance writing today.

    Let’s get started.

    Getting Started Freelance Writing

Once you’ve made the decision to start freelance writing you really want to start by carving out a niche for yourself. You’ll make a lot more money being labeled as a technical writer or a B2B writer or any other field you might be writing in, versus being called a general freelance writer.

So you’ll pick a niche then begin working on your portfolio.

Where you’re at in the process a portfolio may or may not be required. The purpose if a portfolio is to show off your work so for example if you are a logger you mean need a portfolio as your blog be able to show off your writing skills or do you have writing that live online a portfolio may not be required.

    How to Build a Portfolio

Your writing portfolio is just a place online that has samples of your work that you can show off to potential clients.

So you can create your own website, you can also write articles in Microsoft Word or Google Docs and zip it in a folder so you can share that when you need to. You can also use tools like Contently (or others) to write articles and share your work.

    Where to Find Clients

Find clients is one of the biggest pain points for freelancers but it really doesn’t have to be here are some places where you can find paying clients  to start making money:

    • Job banks
    • Freelance markets
    • Social media
    • Networking
    • Groups

Job banks include job sites like Indeed and Monster.

Freelance markets are job banks specifically for clients to find freelancers, like Upwork and Freelancer. There are others so don’t be afraid to search well here.

Social media is often overlooked. Facebook and LinkedIn are the two networks successful freelancers often find clients. I actually found 2 clients last week (already been paid by one) on Facebook!

Networking through events like FinCon and other conferences and markets are a great way to get business. Amanda Abella recently talked about how she made $30,000 from attending a personal finance conference.

And then there are groups, and these can be social media groups like Facebook groups where your clients hang out, like if you’re a real estate writer, join real estate groups. If you specialize in writing blog posts, join blogging groups, etc.

And, LinkedIn groups, Twitter lists, as well as neighborhood groups like Nextdoor, etc. Don’t discount neighborhood marketplaces either, like Facebook marketplace, which is a great source of leads for freelancers.

How Much Money Can You Make Freelance Writing

You can make a little or a lot.

There are a variety of different ways you can bill clients:

    • Per word
    • Per hundred words or per thousand words
    • Hourly
    • By project

You will make the most money by the word or by project. Clients that quote you per hundred words or per thousand words are usually more low-paying gigs.

Newbies can start at $.03 to $.05 per word and build your rate as you get more experience.

Consider your time and energy when quoting your rate too. Don’t be afraid to quote a four figure or larger rate for a large project. You’re worth it.

How Holly Makes $200,000 Per Year Writing

Then, there’s Holly. She makes a living writing, to the tune of $200K per year. She has been featured on Forbes, Good Financial Cents, Financial Samurai and other publications. She is the real deal.

She’ll teach you her strategies for making over $225,000 per year writing.

Head here to get started with her free workshop or check out her course!

    Final Thoughts

In short, can you make money freelance writing? Yes! Can you make it a career or a side hustle? Yes and yes.

Take this as far as you’d like.

If you’re facing job loss or currently unemployed, or seeking additional income, want to make a career change, freelance writing can be your solution!

I hope you found this article educational and entertaining. Shoot me a comment down below to ask any questions or share your experience!

    Credit Firm

Credit is something that you definitely need in life.
It affords most people the ability to buy house and buy a car as well as finance other large expenses and sometimes even unexpected costs that can arise.
Even if you have no plans to make a large purchase in the near future it’s still a great idea to make sure your credit is in check. There are so many little things that can impact your credit and often times you may be unaware Of these things impacting your credit score.
A high credit score of forts you a low interest-rate and a low payment where as a low credit score can mean the exact opposite and sometimes not even qualifying for that purchase you’re looking to make.
So with a choice of paying more or paying less, of course you want to pay less in to do that you want to make sure that you have the best credit score possible.
So take a look at Credit firm, which is a company that can help you review and improve your credit. It’s really great to have experts on your side and to take away the overwhelm and stress of trying to manage your credit on your own.

If you’re in a pickle and looking to make a few hundred dollars extra this month, look at online panels. I’ve done multiple panels, earning $100+ for each one. They are free to join and pay anywhere from $40 to $400+.
The most I’ve earned has been $400 on a single panel. It’s like taking a survey but you’ll be doing it interview-style, talking to the researcher on the phone, via email or online.

    Rakuten

Did you know that you can save money on your online shopping? It’s like getting paid to shop. All you do is install the free cashback browser extension from Rakuten and you’ll get a popup when you land on a partner retail website. Click “Activate” to activate your cashback and after checkout, it will be applied to your Rakuten account. I earned around $28 very quickly after joining.
It’s not part-time income kind of money but it is extra money that you can get absolutely free, for doing what you’re doing anyway, online shopping.

    Acorns

Considering investing? Not sure where to start?
Acorns helps you invest your spare change on autopilot.  They round up your purchases and invest the difference for you. It’s fully automated investing, right at your fingertips. Take control, grow your money and more. This is one of my favorite investment companies.

    Chime

Looking for an online bank? Today, there are so many available, it’s tough to pick one.
I joined Chime within the last 6 months and I absolutely love them!
They send me daily balance notifications, alert me when a charge is declined, they have savings accounts and much more. I love their overdraft protection feature and it’s easier than ever to transfer money to friends and family. Their apps is one of the most streamlined, easy-to-use online banking apps I’ve encountered.
I found them through a discussion in a Facebook group I was spying on. It was a business group and the discussion was about how the girls in the group used Chime for their business banking for their sole proprietorship and it’s helped them separate business and personal expenses.
It’s a great use for that and also perfect for your personal banking.

  • 5 Ways to Make Money from Home During a Pandemic

5 Ways to Make Money from Home During a PandemicThe world is turned upside down due to an outbreak. People are at home. You need money. What can you do?

Keep reading while we share these 5 ways to make money from home during a pandemic!

    Finding Work from Home Gigs

First of all, finding a legit work from home job is like finding a needle in a haystack. You wouldn’t think it would be THIS hard, especially today, but it can be. You can be roped into an MLM or a service program where you have to pay a fee.

Not saying those kinds of opportunities are not legit but when I hear someone say they want a work from home job, they want a job, not an opportunity.

Opportunities are great and can lead to fruitful destinations but, the time to learn the skill, get good at it, start generating leads and income, it’s all on a timeline. It could take you 4 months to start making money and that may be on the fast track.

That’s not what you’ll find in this list.

    Take a look!

    1. Babysitting

Do you love kids? Are you responsible and would like a low-key kind of job where you don’t have to wear a uniform and be formal. Babysitting!

Get paid to watch the kids of others.

A family friend did this, well sort of, she did an at-home daycare where she charged $400/head and was making around $3,500 per month a few kids. Prices were more for babies.

    This is an idea.

Or, watching kids for a few hours at $20 to $30 per hour gets you quick cash in your pocket and can easily get you to few hundred (or a few thousand extra per month).

If you want full-time pay, you can work full-time for even more money.

Consider this and if you’re interested, in addition to spreading word to your neighborhood, community, and peers, you can join sites like Care or Sitter City.

    2. Data Entry

This is the golden goose. What everyone looks for: data entry.

Here are some companies to get you started:

    3. Personal Shopper

Get paid to shop for someone else. This one isn’t work from home. But, I had to include it in the list because it’s such a cool opportunity. Make money shopping. Can’t beat it!

    Try these companies:

    4. Teaching English Online

You will teach kids English that are in China.

You sit at home at your desk, put on a headset and spend under an hour with just one student.

You can make up to $25/hour doing this and I’ve heard of people making $1,600/month to $2,500/month or so from this gig.

Requirements apply based on the company.

    • VIPKid
    • Qkids
    • SayABC
    • NiceTalk

    5. Virtual Assistant

Get paid to assist people online.

Your tasks will vary based on your client but think, data entry, note taking, email replies, calendar and email management, etc.

Here are some companies to check out!

    Final Word

There you go! Hope this was helpful. Let me know what you think down below in comments.

Looking for hand sanitizer but shelves are wiped clean? It’s out of stock everywhere. If you don’t keep a loot of this stuff stashed in your house like I do, you are in luck. There is a super simple DIY hand sanitizer recipe you can make in your own kitchen.

Make this recipe in big batches then distribute in small bottles that you can keep in your home, car, in your purse, on the go, whenever you need it.

    DIY Hand Sanitizer

    Instructions

There are three different ways you can make this. Either a gel, liquid, or lotion.

The 4oz. or 6oz sizes are great for on the go or carrying in your purse.

    DIY Gel Hand Sanitizer

A non-sticky gel you will love (using the aloe brand we suggest above) which can be squeezed out of a bottle. Water not needed.

Ingredients: 100% Aloe Vera Gel,   Tea Tree Oil

Instructions: Fill nearly full with 100% Aloe gel. Add tea tree oil. For 4 to 6 oz size use 1 to 2 drops of higher quality oil or 6 to 8 a of lower quality oil. (You do not have to be exact.) Mix well. Adjust as needed for size.

Use: Squeeze 2-3 pea-sized drops of gel into your hands and rub in. Use whenever needed.

    DIY Liquid Hand Sanitizer

I love the spray bottle hand sanitizers. I first discovered them in HEB last year. They spray out in a fine spray that coats your hands and I love it.

Ingredients: Distilled Water,  Tea Tree Oil

Instructions: Fill your  spray bottle with distilled water. For 4 to 6 oz size use 1 to 2 drops of higher quality oil or 6 to 8  of lower quality oil. (You do not have to be exact.) Mix well. Adjust as needed for size.

Instructions: Fill your bottle at least ½ full of distilled water. Add in Aloa Vera gel until it’s the consistency you like. Add more water if desired. For 4 to 6 oz size use 1 to 2 drops of higher quality oil or 6 to 8 of lower quality oil. (You do not have to be exact.) Mix well. Adjust as needed for size.

Use: Pour out of a soft plastic bottle. Use about a dime size amount and rub thoroughly into hands. Use when needed.

5 Work from Home Jobs to Make Money Now

    1. Dropservicing

You might be surprised to hear that some businesses may thrive during tough economic times. If you’re facing a pandemic and forced to stay home with no pay but need money, dropservicing is a great way to use your skills to make money on demand.

    How it works?

Dropservicing is dropshipping for services. So, you will connect businesses with service professionals and as the middle man you will keep a fee for your services.

    Let me break it down.

For example, if you operated a content dropservicing company, your business would be in charge of businesses getting content for their company.

This could be articles, white papers, resumes, website content, blog posts, etc. Businesses need written content for a variety of purposes so this would be a smart niche to explore.

You would find clients in need of such services and then charge them for the service. You then, find a freelance to do the work and you keep the different (between what you charge the client and what you pay the freelancer) as your profit.

Example: You book a 10-blog post content pack with a client for $1,000. You then hire a freelancer from Upwork or iWriter to write all 10 posts for $300. You keep $700 as your profit ($1,000-$300=$700).

    Make sense?

Do this with any niche you’d like from content, social media management, digital marketing, or any service you can think of that could work.

Wanna know how to do it right? Check out this training.

    2. Affiliate Marketing

There is a lot of money to be had doing affiliate marketing and if you want to learn the ins and outs of it, check out Cracking the Code, an ebook that shows you how to make money with the Amazon affiliate program. The creator of this book makes $5K to $7K+ per month just from the Amazon affiliate program.

Where to find affiliate programs to join?

You can join networks like Flex Offers. For networks that pay quickly, look at Warrior Plus and JVZoo.

    3. Babysitting

During times when schools are closed during a pandemic or other reasons, parents need care for their kids. And that’s where babysitters come into play.

Put up flyers in your neighborhood, post on social media and make an announcement on neighborhood groups like Nextdoor.

  • 25 Things to Stockpile When S#*t Hits the Fan

You’re in the midst of a crisis or national disaster and stockpiling is necessary. The only problem is, what the heck do you stockpile?

There’s a lot of question about this but the bottom line is, if you’re forced to create a horde of resources, food and water for yourself for weeks or longer, there are some KEY things you should have.

Make sure to bookmark this post to review it later if you’d like and keep reading while we share these 25 must have things to stockpile when S#*T hits the fan!

    25 Must Haves to Stockpile

Ok, so when you’re creating your list of stockpile foods, you wanna have a mix of staples that stay good for a long time and indulgent treats.

Hear me out on this one.

First, the staples are a no brainer, right? You need canned goods, canned fish and meat, water and other necessities that will keep a long time. But why treats? Because eating staples can get boring and you need to keep your sanity during emergency.

What if you’re quarantined? Or, what is a natural disaster leaves you stuck inside your house or you’re stuck outside your house. What are you gonna do?

    Rely on your stockpile.

Here are 25 foods you should have:

    1. Water

Water is good to stockpile for so many reasons. In the case of a natural disaster, pipes might be burst or broken and water can be difficult to come by so having your own stock of water is great for drinking, washing, cleaning, and other purposes.

    2. Canned goods

Canned goods like canned beans, canned fruits and veggies, and other canned goods stay good like forever. This is why they are excellent stockpile foods. You can store them in your pantry for years without worrying about spoilage and if s#*t were to hit the fan and you had to rely on your stockpile for nutrition, you know your canned goods would be good for a while.

    3. Canned meat and fish

Same as described for canned goods. Canned meat is good because it’s meat which is protein and good for you. If you’re in a place where you can’t cook food but need meat, there are few options that you can eat as is, canned meat and canned fish (like canned tuna) are staples to rely on.

    4. Bars

These are protein bars and granola bars which are great travel foods. Plus, you can pack a lot of calories and nutrition in them, while they tend to be pretty small (fits in your hand). They are a great travel food, good for camping, and excellent for a stockpile food.

    5. Oatmeal

This is good for breakfast as all you need is hot water and you’ve got a hearty, nutritious meal (a reason why this is a solid camping food).

    6. Flour

Flour for baking. You can bake in a microwave, you can bake on a campfire, and other ways. You just aren’t limited to your stove. Flour is a good way to get interesting in the kitchen because if you are in a place where you need to eat your stockpile, the foods can get boring and flour is a great way to make breads, loaves, muffins, use as a thickener, and other uses.

    7. Sugar

Same as for flour. Sugar keeps things interesting. It can help you keep your sanity when you’re in a dire situation like under quarantine or away from society (like out in the country).

    8. Salt

Salt is good for a variety of reasons for the survivalist.

    • To season foods
    • Food preserving
    • Cure meat
    • Ease sinus congestion
    • And, other uses

    9. Beans

This is dried beans but, canned beans would be excellent too (canned goods above).

They’re great for protein and pretty filling. They make a great side dish and have fiber and add variety to your meals. Plus there are so many varieties, you’ll never get bored: pinto beans, kidney beans, black beans, red beans, and garbanzo beans.

    10. Spices

You wanna keep your meals tasty and the opposite of boring. Spices last a really long time and are perfect for this!

    11. Cereal

Cereals are dry and keep well. They are great eaten plain as a snack, ingredients in meals, and alone with milk as cereal for any meal of the day. Can you tell I’m a cereal nut?

    12. Coffee

Because we need our caffeine fix right? Sames goes with tea. Stock up on both if you love both.

    13. Freeze Dried Foods

This is like freeze dried fruits and other freeze drieds. They last and keep well.

    14. Honey

Honey never goes bad. Really. It never expires. This is great in tea, as a sweetener and cooking ingredient for everything and a staple in our household.

    15. Jerky

Jerky is a great source of protein and perfect when you need a protein-rich snack.

    16. Hard Liquor

Great for many uses, aside from drinking, you can clean with it, disinfect, and more.

    17. Nuts

Yummy proteinful snack. Great ground up as an ingredient in meals, atop cereal and more.

    18. Pickles

These are great to add some pop to meals.  Ideal for sandwiches, tuna and more meal ideas.

    19. Popcorn

Store this stuff indefinitely. Great as a quick, easy snack.

    20. Potatoes

One of the long lasting veggies that you wanna keep stocked in your cupboard. You can also dehydrate or freeze dry them.

    21. Powdered Drink Mix

Like Crystal Light or other powdered drink mix. Just add water and you’ve got a great alternative to water or milk, to keep things interesting.

    22. Ramen Noodles

The ultimate staple food during an apocalypse. It’s cheap, great for soup, tastes good and has a long shelf life.

    23. Powdered Milk

Good for when you need milk but don’t have a refrigerator. A must for emergency food supply.

    24. Corn starch

This is a must have baking ingredient and thickener for soups, stews and meals you prepare.

    25. Rice

No Braine right. Rice lasts forever is a great, hearty and filling food. You can also get pretty inventive with it for recipes.

    Final Word

So, go stock your pantry and fridge.

What do you think? Share some stockpile foods you like to horde.

Here’s what you’ll need to pursue these opportunities:

    • Time
    • Internet access

You’ll need time, of course. The amount of time will vary based on the opportunity you pursue. And then you need access to a device with internet, like a computer or smartphone.

    That’s it!

Ok, here are 9 cool ways to make $1,000/month working from home!

    1. Start Taking Paid Online Surveys

    I know, I know.

    Surveys?

Surveys can help you make extra money.

People love them because you can take surveys when you want, from the convenience of your phone or computer and get paid!

They are easy to do and require no skills.

You are just getting paid to share your opinion. You can get paid via direct deposit, PayPal cash, gift cards, or through other ways, depending on the survey company.

The more survey companies you join, the more you can make.

But, this is not a way to get rich quit and YOU CAN’T make a full-time income from surveys.

It’s really impossible. So, I just wanna get that straight, right now. I wanna be completely transparent with you.

    I’ve taken surveys personally.

Even now, I still participate in surveys from time to time. My bank recently sent me an opportunity to share my opinion about my online banking for a cool $80.

And, I got an email invitation to do another exclusive survey that I’ll have to read more about when I have some free time.

Anyway, here are 3 survey companies I recommend:

    2. Open an Ecommerce Store

Starting an ecommerce store is a cool way for you to sell products you love to the general public.

I got my start 5+ years ago in ecommerce and it allowed me to leave my 9 to 5 and become a full-time entrepreneur.

It’s a really fun side hustle that you can do part-time and/or full-time.

    How to get started?

    • Pick a niche
    • Source products
    • Create your store

    First, pick a store niche.

This will be your store category, like:

    • Women’s apparel
    • Fashion jewelry
    • Home goods

    Next, source your products.

In sourcing, your goal will be to find out where you’ll get wholesale products.

With this info, lastly, you’ll create your online storefront.

You can pick a store platform like Shopify to help you create a professional-looking, gorgeous store.

    3. Social Media Influencer

Do you have a big social following?

Even at 2,000 followers, you can make money as a social media influencer.

You can monetize your following in  various ways including through brand sponsorships, affiliate marketing, ads, and your own products.

    Sponsorships/Brand Deals

In a brand deal, you and a brand come together and work together on social media.

Like, if you’re a fashion influencer, you could partner with a shoe company who pays you $500 to wear and model their shoe line on your Instagram page.

That’s just one example of how you can do a brand partnership. This works great for bloggers and businesses too.

Examples of ways you can partner:

    • Hosting a giveaway
    • Video demonstration
    • Unboxing
    • Plus, other ways!

Brand deals can get you a lot of money.

Top influencers make $100K+ for a single social media post. Smaller influencers make $10K+ per month working with brands exclusively as their bread and butter for their business.

    How to find sponsors?

You can join sponsor networks like these:

    Affiliate Marketing

As an affiliate marketer, you can share products with your social following and you’ll earn a commission every time your referral results in a sale.

For example, if you’re a beauty influencer, you could share one of your favorite lipsticks (that you affiliate for) on your Instagram account and for every sale that happens, you earn a commission at no additional cost to the buyer.

That’s exactly how affiliate marketing works.

Join affiliate networks: Shareasale, Maxbounty, or Panthera Interactive.

Once you join you’ll have access to affiliate programs for various merchants and then you can promote on your social channels, as allowed by the company.

    Ads

Make money from ads through companies like YouTube.

Through ads you can make money based on your viewd or ad clicks.

It is possible to make a full-time income from ad revenue alone.

There is endless income opportunity through this channel.

    Products/Services

Sell your own products and services online like coffee mugs, printables, digital planners and more.

    4. Pinterest Manager

What the heck is a Pinterest manager?

Pinterest is big business for companies.

It’s a free visual search engine that helps companies get found online.

I’ve seen blogs totally transform through Pinterest, reaching millions of page views and making tens of thousands of dollars per month from the social network, alone.

What do you do as a Pinterest manager?

Get paid to play on social media for companies.

If you love social media then this is for you.

To get to $1,000/month or more, you only need 1-2 clients, depending on your pricing:

    1 client X $1,000/month rate = $1,000/month

    2 clients X $500/month rate = $1,000/month

For me, it started with my ecommerce biz. I was Instagram-crazy and learn how to use social media to my benefit. So, I’ve been a Pinterest manager, Instagram manager, general social media manager for other companies.

    Skills needed?

You do not need specialized education, background or experience but you should know social media.

You can get free or paid training online to strengthen your skillset.

    Try Skillshare.

You pay around $12/month and get access to their ENTIRE library of online courses for a low monthly fee.

With no contract too, so you can cancel after a month or a few months if you want too.

For you course junkies out there like me, this is golden!

What will you do as a Pinterest manager?

Some activities you’ll likely do might include:

    • Creating Pinterest graphics
    • Pinterest keyword research
    • Writing keyword-rich pin captions
    • Interacting and engaging with consumers
    • Measuring analytics
    • And, more!

This is the perfect kinda job to work from home.

    5. Copywriting

Writing was how I started my path to entrepreneurship. I tried many different career paths as a small business owner and luckily, my ecommerce store did well and allowed me to leave my 9 to 5.

Before that though, I did copywriting.

Copywriting the wrong way, little did I know.

Writing for content mills and small publications gave me a lot of experience but earning $10 to $25 per article is really pocket change.

I was happy to get whatever I could, back then.

Today, I still copywrite, earning $.10/word on most projects.

That means earning $1,000/month is 10 articles at 1,000 words/each which is so easy.

The more you write, the more you write.

When I started, it was tough to make it to 1,000 words.

Now, I commonly write 3K to 8K articles with ease.

To start your copywriting journey to up to $10,000/month as a writer, check out this free guide to get started as a freelance  copywriter.

Where to Find Clients and Copywriting Work?

    Check out these sources:

    • Problogger
    • Upwork
    • Other job banks and freelance banks online
    • Craigslist
    • Social media like Facebook groups or LinkedIn

    6. Blogging

I have been blogger for 6 years and have created dozens of blogs (mostly sold).

It’s a fruitful way to connect with an audience and make money in the process.

Few bloggers make it big. Even less make substantial money so to get to $1,000/month can be some time and work involved.

    You CAN do it though!

Here are some tips to get your there…

    Pick a profitable niche, like..

    • Personal finance
    • Travel
    • Fashion
    • Beauty
    • Homeschooling
    • Parenting
    • And, other topics!

Monetize your blog in multiple ways, like..

    • Sponsorships
    • Affiliate marketing
    • Ads
    • Products/services

Spend more time promoting your blog than writing.

Outsource work, like hiring writers instead of doing all the writing yourself.

    And, outsourcing in other ways.

You can check out this free guide to start your profitable blog to get started!

    7. Babysitting

This is great if you love kids or do well with kids.

Babysitting is a relatively low key job and you can do it in your own home or visiting your client’s home.

It’s not uncommon to make $15 to $25 per hour as a babysitter, possibly more if you have to do extra like administering medication, cooking, cleaning, etc.

Join sites like Care.com or Sitter City to get started.

    8. Graphic Design

Designers create stunning graphics for their clients and it’s the perfect work from home job. You can use tools like Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Canva, or others.

    You work might include designing..

    • Website homepages
    • Social media graphics
    • Logos
    • Business card design
    • Ecommerce store web pages
    • And, more!

    9. Web Designer

Web designers are in charge of designing websites.

This is good for tech savvy individuals who know how to code or use consumer-friendly tools like WordPress to create stunning websites.

I am not very tech savvy myself and I did this for a few years using templates and WordPress.

There’s also Wix, Squarespace and other friendly tools that kind of DIY websites.

And you can get paid for this.

It’s not unusual for designers to make $5K to $10K per project.

Entry level you can earn $1K+ for a few hours of your time.

Wanna really dive in and learn the ins and outs?

Head to, again, Skillshare. They got courses on everything. Thank me later 😉
